Welcome to the March Newsletter

After almost 3 months into 2017 we are beginning to see that this year will be a bit of a roller coaster. Trump is doing what Trump does and no one seems to be surprised anymore. The US has just raised interest rates for the first time since the GFC and the Lehman brothers collapse. Brexit now has a new sub group called the Regrexiters. The far right is making footholds in the Netherlands and France.

China has revised its growth from 8% to 6% which is still 3 times more than the rest of the developed world. Here in Australia we are coping with an energy crisis and a property market that just won't stop rising.

So what do we need? Yes some more predictions for 2017 from Investment Officers. We will share part one this month and part 2 next month.

We also discuss superannuation because as of 1st July 2017 we see the new superannuation changes come into effect. This financial year is the last time you can maximise your non concessional and concessional contributions before the levels are reduced. Be aware and take advantage of this opportunity.

Lastly,Tom Stevenson from Fidelity looks at which is the best bet for 2017, China or the US and we look at Asia as a potential political haven.
