It is likely that the Australian economy will continue to deteriorate over the year but we should have an interest rate cut. This will keep our mortgage clients happy and the local property market upbeat but the Aussie dollar will continue to fall making it far more expensive for us to travel overseas. With a lower Aussie dollar the International firms will see our stock market as cheap and we should have quite a bit of overseas buying activity on the ASX. This should help our market and we should see a good year for selected Australian equities…As they say in the trade ‘Lets wait and see’
